The Workday Integrations Specialist is responsible for supporting Fortna’s Workday integrations with multiple internal/external systems such as ERP, ADP, Benefits, IT, Finance, and others.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Workday integrations and a variety of solutions to help drive success. Responsibilities may range from monitoring integrations and resolving issues, configuring and updating existing integrations, creating integration reports, testing integration updates, and leading semi-annual releases including testing the integrations with the vendors. Respond to Workday Help Cases related to integrations and support other functionalities as assigned within HR Systems & Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage system integrations within the architecture of the HR/Finance system and middleware
  • Provide support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations and well as new integrations
  • Provide support for incident management and integration monitoring
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues
  • Research integration errors and provide root cause analysis
  • Perform routine break/fix support and regression testing
  • Create and update integration reports and calculated fields
  • Help support user questions via Workday Help
  • Support annual Open Enrollment, semi-annual Workday Releases or other projects as assigned
  • Ensure integrations function as designed based on functional and technical requirements
  • Understand and follow Data Governance and ensure attention to data quality
  • Understand and follow defined integration/development standards and best practices

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (must be able to be ascertained from the resume):

  • Knowledge of Workday implementation tools (Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Connectors, Document Transformations, Workday Studio, and Workday Report Writer)
  • Technical experience with XML, XSLT, XPath, and MVEL
  • Experience with Workday report writer and calculated fields
  • Knowledge of Workday domain security policies
  • Ability to work and coordinate with third parties on data related inquiries
  • Understand basic database architecture, tables, functional interactions, and recognize and understand impacts to downstream systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and leadership
  • Strong technical and operations background
  • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle both planned and unplanned responsibilities
  • Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering or related technical discipline) or equivalent combination of training and work experience
3+ years of relevant Workday Integration experience

Knowledge and experience with the following Workday modules: HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, and Compensation

Understanding of Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards)

Other Qualifications Desired:

Workday Absence, Expense, Projects, and Peakon

Physical Requirements:

When working in-office, there may be periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen for extended periods of time. The ability to speak and clearly hear, in-person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise levels in this work environment are usually quiet. When traveling to client sites, essential requirements may involve a physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from being relatively quiet to moderate, to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn as necessary.

The base salary range for this role is $76,100 to $126,800.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
