Job Description
As a Senior Representative – Solar Inside Sales, you will be joining a team of subject matter experts that support a wide range of customers in the residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar markets. As an inside sales representative, you will engage with internal sales staff, customers, and suppliers around the country to help drive sales in the rapidly growing solar industry. The role will provide sales support to new and existing solar customers, including product selection, quoting, order processing, and forecasting. The position will also offer solar expertise and guidance to local WESCO branches and sales teams, as they work to expand their renewable energy product offering.
Responsibilities
- Meets and exceeds performance measurements based on volume budgets, profitability, penetration, efficiency objectives.
- Markets renewable energy products and offers value-added services.
- Develops strong business relationships in growing existing accounts, prospects for opportunities within account base.
- Owns, qualifies, and develops opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, national accounts.
- Keeps abreast of new products and acquires and shares competitive knowledge.
- Reports industry trends, competitive pricing and customer feedback to management.
- May function as the lead for other ISRs with respect to processes, systems, customers, etc.
Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2 to 5 years of related experience is required
- 2+ years experience interacting with customers and/or supplier representatives to obtain pricing information and cooperation
- Must be able to read and interpret specifications and blueprints
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Broad knowledge of product lines and pricing strategies is preferred
- Previous experience putting together bid packages preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Compensation Details: $30.77 -$46.15 per hour
The compensation amount is not guaranteed. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position, however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience and qualifications.
