The Opportunity

Responsibilities

Join our dynamic APAC team as a Clinical Services Specialist! In this impactful role, you will champion Permobil's extensive range of assistive technologies, delivering exceptional clinical services that empower our diverse customer base. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing innovative clinical training programs, providing expert education, and offering guidance on optimal usage. You’ll also play a crucial role in funding support and research initiatives. This position is designed to support not only our dedicated staff but also a wide array of stakeholders, from prescribing allied health professionals to dealers, end users, and caregivers. While this role is ideally based in Australia or New Zealand, we welcome applicants from other regions in Asia Pacific to apply including:

  • Korea - Seoul
  • China - Kunshan

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment of Permobil product performance against user and customer requirements in real world application of home and work environments
  • Work with clinical education colleagues and other allied health professionals to broaden their existing skillset and knowledge regarding prescribing complex assistive technology, to meet clinical outcomes
  • Assessment of Permobil user needs and aptitudes via clinical observation and field assessment
  • Assist in developing clinical education modules that can be delivered by self and others directly, and by others via different modes (direct, on-line, webinars)
  • Work closely with sales teams across the region to assist in achieving goals, building networks and relationships
  • Able to organize and facilitate events
  • Provide clinical advice relevant to Permobil products and equipment, to staff, sales team, dealers, users and carers
  • Provide support and education to clinicians for AT funding applications
  • Assist in the development of clinical collateral including, but not limited to blogs, handouts, brochures, clinical assets and other material
  • Contribution to projects across the region and globally as required
  • Preparation of submissions to major significant conferences
  • Identify case studies across portfolios and the region to be used in clinical content
  • Identify facilitates and organisation throughout the region where clinical and research collaboration could occur
  • Identify and build relationships with clinical teams
  • Identify and build relationships with universities and foster relationships
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to work autonomously but also as part of a team
  • Any other duties that are required.

  • Existing dealer network throughout the region
  • Key prescribers, opinion leaders and influencers
  • Potential end users who contact Permobil directly seeking advice
  • Conference organisers developing educational components
  • Professional organisations facilitating education in our key market sectors Online education providers; and
  • University Department Heads of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.

Your Background

  • Re levant bachelor's degree in OT, PT or Health and atleast 6 years of experience in field
  • Experience working with users with complex wheelchair and seating needs for at least 5+ years
  • Experience in advocating for UED users and applying for funding
  • Ability to accommodate differences in culture and language
  • Exhibited confidence with presentation software
  • Frequent customer and therapist contact
  • High level of detail and accuracy
  • High level of communication skills internally and externally
  • Specialist industry product knowledge
  • Comfortable facilitating Clinical and Scientific presentations
  • Ability to teach co-workers and outside organisations the skills in prescribing complex assistive technology
  • Confident is using a variety of Microsoft computer programs
