About The Job

As a Cost Estimator, you’ll operate as the bridge between our sales and our project teams.

You’ll act as the responsible person for creating and presenting the price sheets used to support sales activities and commercial bids on running projects and proposals.

General Tasks:

You are aware of and care for Health, Safety, and environmental aspects during daily actions, and drive HSE performance throughout projects and or internal/ external services activities.

  • You are responsible for cost estimation for proposals/projects of various sizes/types in the petrochemical and refinery sectors.
  • You prepare and present the final estimation price sheet to management.
  • You are part of a team to develop and upgrade our databases and tools on a continuous basis.


Specific Tasks

  • Preparation of estimating plan and communicating and delegating its content to proposal team members in order to obtain all inputs and deliverables from internal and external parties required for estimate preparation.
  • Preparing estimates for all size proposals/projects (0.5 MMEuro-120 MMEuro) in all scope ranges (E, EP, EPC, LSTK) and all ranges of accuracy (budgetary to Lump Sum) in a timely manner.
  • Communicating closely with all proposal/project team members, Sales Executives and Proposal Managers
  • Handover of As Sold price sheet to Cost Control and support to Cost Control on project change order preparation.
  • Preparation of analysis, feedback, and close-out information on executed projects for use on ongoing estimates, benchmarking purposes and historical data

About You

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a degree in a technical discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering, and 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Your English communication skills are excellent both in speaking as well as in writing.
  • Having knowledge about Excel and Finance (debit/credit, P&L) would be welcomed but is not a hard requirement.
  • You have strong analytical skills and are able to work under pressure but more importantly you’re able to meet deadlines and make important decisions whilst being under pressure
