Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations the Co-Head of Operations will oversee a team of loan professionals, ensure efficient work distribution, quality control, and adherence to deadlines. Provide training and coaching, conduct performance appraisals, and set objectives for the team. A highly skilled and experienced individual will run our team and daily BAU as Co-Head of Loan Operations

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and oversight for the Loan Operations team in London alongside joint Co-Head
  • Working with the Senior Director to establish and embed the operating model for Loan Operations London
  • Work with the Head of Operations India to ensure that both teams work together seamlessly, driving improvements and sharing knowledge
  • Ensure the team delivers first class service to our clients
  • Display a strong understanding of risk and control. Actively identify control/procedure/process weaknesses and provide solutions
  • High degree of product and technical expertise on the syndicated loan market in an agency capacity
  • Subject matter expertise in LMA & LSTA Loan facility documentation as facility agent
  • Advanced LoanIQ knowledge
  • Completing periodical reports to management as and when required
  • Provide information on performance and volumes for KRI and KPI reporting

Essential Traits

  • Accustomed to working in a pressurised environment and delivering results
  • Establish a solid working relationship with the Head of Transaction Management and Middle Office teams to resolve day to day issues and promote close cooperation between the teams
  • Ensure all work the Scheduled Activity is completed in good time and in good order by the team.
  • Take joint responsibility for the daily clean down of the Operations Group Inbox
  • Act as a point of reference providing advice and an escalation point for Operations Analysts and be prepared to step in as required
  • Act as an escalation point with BNP Paribas, especially the resolutions of payment issues on closing
  • Providing regular on-going training to Analysts to facilitate their growth and increase their knowledge of the Loan product
  • Attend industry seminars either virtually or in person and keep abreast of changes affecting the Loan Market.
  • Actively participate in the annual appraisals of team members, providing feedback on performance to Co-Heads
  • Organise and lead Operations team meetings
  • Oversee the review and actioning of all Utilisation Requests delivered on any given day
  • Ensuring the team are all complying with and are following all procedures and processes daily
