A tech company is currently hiring for their GCO Cloud Architect.

Our client is seeking a GCP Cloud Architect to join their dynamic and international team. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to design and manage projects on the Google Cloud Platform, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will be responsible for guaranteeing Service Level Objectives, Indicators, and Agreements, with a scope of work closely aligned with service reliability engineering. You'll also have the chance to engage directly with customers, understanding their architectural needs and providing pre-sales cloud support.

What You'll Do

As a GCP Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's projects. Your expertise in Google Cloud Platform will be instrumental in designing solutions that meet customer needs while maintaining cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for managing various aspects of the platform, including App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Compute Engine. Your ability to understand customer requirements and provide pre-sales cloud support will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, you will ensure that all designs function as intended and meet stipulated service level objectives.

  • Design solutions for projects based on customer feedback or as part of the consulting capability
  • Manage the Google Cloud Platform and Google Maps API console
  • Strategically create instances of App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine and manage server access
  • Ensure designs function as intended at minimal cost
  • Guarantee stipulated Service Level Objectives, Indicators, and Agreements
  • Take charge of deployment activities ensuring servers are running 24x7
  • Provide facetime to customers understanding their architectural needs
  • Assist in presentations/reports/demonstrations where necessary or helpful
  • Work with the sales team in provisioning pre-sales cloud support

What You Bring

The ideal GCP Cloud Architect brings a wealth of experience in cloud systems administration or a similar role. With at least 5 years under your belt, you're well-versed in managing Google Cloud Platform services such as App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Compute Engine. Your academic background in Computer Science or a related field equips you with the technical knowledge required for this role. Your ability to understand customer requirements and provide pre-sales cloud support sets you apart from others. Additionally, your familiarity with security guidelines, policies, and frameworks for cloud location intelligence solutions will be crucial in this role.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related courses
  • At least 5 years of working experience as a Cloud Systems Administrator or similar role
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and provide pre-sales cloud support
  • Experience in managing App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine
  • Knowledge of security guidelines, policies, and frameworks for cloud location intelligence solutions
