Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct depositions and defend claims with an emphasis on meticulous case preparation.
  • Perform comprehensive legal research and draft relevant legal documents.
  • Lead mediations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Formulate strategic case approaches and represent clients during trials.
  • Manage cases from initial intake through to settlement or jury verdict.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication abilities to connect with clients and stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of personal injury and civil litigation law.
  • Proven experience in leading mediations and trials.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing competence.
  • Capability to develop effective case strategies.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation (5+ years preferred).
  • Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar (or relevant state).
  • Documented success in jury trials.
  • Experience with drafting and responding to legal motions.
  • Solid grasp of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence.
