Remote ESL Instructor for Beginning and Intermediate Levels

Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Remote ESL Instructor, where you will play a vital role in the educational journey of students at the Beginning and Intermediate levels. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate closely with the Student Retention & Basic Skills Specialist to ensure that our students receive tailored support and resources throughout their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging ESL instruction to students at the Beginning or Intermediate proficiency levels.
• Partner with the Student Retention & Basic Skills Specialist to monitor and support student advancement.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of student performance, including attendance, test results, and progress tracking.
• Develop and implement innovative lesson plans and course materials that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Address student inquiries promptly and provide constructive feedback on assignments.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to connect students with relevant resources and opportunities.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and various Learning Management Systems.
• Excellent communication skills, especially with diverse and at-risk populations.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in record-keeping and lesson planning.
• Capability to create engaging and effective lesson plans and course materials.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate's degree in Adult Education or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in teaching English Language Learners (ELLs).
• Willingness to receive cross-training for other teaching positions within the GED/ESL program.

Compensation And Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate of \(31.06 - \)33.76, commensurate with education, skills, and experience.
