Job Overview

We are looking for a visionary and accomplished Head of Data Science Research and Development to spearhead transformative initiatives in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Key Responsibilities

• Oversee R&D initiatives in the realms of data science, AI, and ML.
• Architect and design scalable data science solutions tailored for commercial applications.
• Mentor and develop team members to foster sustainable product innovation in data science and AI.
• Streamline data science operations, including processes for data cleansing, validation, and model deployment.
• Facilitate business development efforts related to AI and ML services.
• Identify enhancements and new feature opportunities for products.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in developing customer-facing AI or ML applications, particularly in sectors such as defense, aerospace, energy, or transportation.
• Proficient in AI/ML methodologies, including but not limited to computer vision and predictive maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills capable of simplifying complex concepts for varied audiences.
• Proficient in a programming language pertinent to data science (e.g., Python, R) and well-versed in distributed data platforms (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in data science or a related discipline, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
