Unit4 Technical Architect

Job Description

The Unit4 Technical Architect (TA) is a key customer-facing role responsible for leading technical aspects of Unit4 ERPx project delivery. You will collaborate with project teams to ensure successful design, build, deployment, and go-live stages. Your focus will be on delivering effective technical solutions that meet customer requirements, align with best practices, and ensure project success.

Qualifications & Experience

Technical Expertise:

• Strong understanding of enterprise IT applications with a focus on Unit4 ERPx technical and functional capabilities.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient solutions using Unit4 technologies.
• Familiarity with integration techniques and technologies such as APIs, web services, and Unit4’s integration tools.
• Experience with data migrations and integration projects, especially with Azure Integration Services.
• Working knowledge of Unit4’s platform capabilities, including Financials, HR, and related modules.
  
  

Project Involvement

• Experience in managing and executing technical project tasks within set timelines and budgets.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall, is beneficial.
  
  

Architectural Knowledge

• Experience in contributing to end-to-end technology solutions for Unit4 implementations.
• Understanding of technical architectural best practices and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  
  

Collaboration And Teamwork

• Demonstrated experience in working as part of cross-functional teams, including virtual teams across different locations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with consultants, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
  
  

Communication

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to present technical concepts clearly and concisely to clients.
  
  

Problem-Solving

• Analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Unit4 ERP systems.
• Experience gathering and refining both technical and functional requirements.
  
  

Customer Focus

• Ability to understand customer needs and tailor technical solutions to meet those objectives.
• A self-motivated professional with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% depending on project requirements.
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Unit4 certifications or experience with Unit4 ERPx preferred.
  
  

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Knowledge of Unit4 ERPx architecture and its integrations with Azure technologies.
• Experience designing Security Models, Data Models (ERDs), and Data Migration/Integration plans.
• Familiarity with Unit4’s configurations and automation tools.
• Understanding of Azure resources planning and integration services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
• Experience in Agile implementation methodology.
• Technical architecture experience (3-5+ years) with multiple medium-sized Unit4 ERPx implementations.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical aspects of Unit4 ERPx project delivery.
• Assist in the design, build, and implementation of Unit4 ERPx solutions.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure technical milestones and deliverables are met.
• Develop and review key technical documentation, including architecture, integration, and migration plans.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution during project phases.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions are delivered to customers.
• Support DevOps work items and collaborate with the customer to prioritize technical tasks.
