Job description

Compensation: Base Salary and Quarterly Bonuses:

$192,000-$210,000 DOE

Quarterly Bonuses $6k-$12K depending on billable hours

The firm develops lasting relationships with clients through superior legal services at significant value, and has grown rapidly since its inception in 1996.

Operating throughout California, the firm has a remote set up for staff and only occasionally will the attorney's need to appear in person -for depositions, meetings or court.

Responsibilities:

  • Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, third party administrators, and self-insured employers
  • Prepare correspondence to clients
  • Draft pleadings
  • Attend court appearances
  • Manage calendar
  • Conduct depositions and cross-examinations of doctors
  • Negotiate settlements on workers’ compensation files
  • Negotiate lien claims
  • Proactive case management
  • Understand and maintain current knowledge of workers’ compensation case law and statutes
  • 215 monthly billable hours minimum required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degree
  • Member, State Bar of California
  • Superior research, analytical, and negotiating ability
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Commitment to proactive case management.
