Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and empathetic professional to join our team as a Clinical Supervisor for our Mental Health program in San Francisco. This role entails overseeing both licensed and unlicensed mental health practitioners, family partners, and Intensive Care Coordinators (ICC), dedicated to supporting children aged 0-22 and their families, particularly those engaged with the child welfare system. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering trauma-informed care and ensuring the well-being of young individuals and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide reflective individual and group supervision to mental health clinicians, as well as support for family partners and ICCs.
  • Oversee clinicians' administrative tasks to ensure compliance with MediCal and other regulatory standards, meeting essential deadlines.
  • Monitor and support the clinical activities of mental health clinicians, ensuring adherence to high standards of care and program protocols.
  • Assist in the evaluation process of team members, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Help clinicians achieve established standards for service delivery and billing practices.
  • Engage in occasional direct client care for children and their families.
  • Attend and actively participate in relevant meetings, including weekly supervision, staff gatherings, and leadership training sessions.
  • Follow all procedures and protocols related to EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment).
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines, mandated reporting, and organizational protocols while performing duties.
  • Collaborate closely with the Program Director to provide programmatic support and enhancements.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed.

Required Skills

  • Licensed LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD with BBS eligibility for supervision.
  • Strong clinical and writing abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed care and community-based mental health principles.
  • Experience working with diverse racial and ethnic populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health systems such as Exym, Avatar, or Epic.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to undergo a Livescan check to work with children.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with BOP or BBS supervision requirements is essential.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Direct experience working with children and families, particularly within the 0-21 age range.
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 and/or DC 0-5, including the development and writing of family-focused assessments and care plans.
  • Familiarity with the Child and Adolescent Needs Assessment (CANS) and other standardized assessment tools.
