DevSecOps Engineer

Managed Service Delivery - Engineers

Position Description:

As a DevSecOps Engineer at Data#3, you will guide and implement automation initiatives across software development, operations, and services. You will oversee DevOps best practices and guide team members on automation and test design, ensuring security practices are embedded in all processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the provision of internal assurance services to customers, ensuring security practices are embedded in all processes.
  • Act as a point of contact for assurance-related incidents, problems, and security issues, including those related to environments.
  • Provide software testing solutions within allotted timeframes by developing, implementing, and managing testing scripts and tools, including automated security testing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing and security practices, systems, and tools relevant to Data#3 DevOps/DevSecOps responsibilities.
  • Analyze business requirements and provide automation and security solutions to improve business productivity and resilience.
  • Develop, implement, and manage automation tasks, including security automation, in collaboration with System Administrators.
  • Participate in code, design, and security reviews to ensure all aspects of security are addressed early in the development process.
  • Collaborate with and advise other team members on new technologies, work practices, automation scripts, security protocols, and testing procedures.
  • Write specifications, conduct testing, and provide ongoing customer support while ensuring adherence to security best practices.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and security threats, understanding their integration into existing IT infrastructures.
  • Provide Data#3 with specific value solutions, including security enhancements, to meet their needs within Data#3’s delivery capability.
  • Assess and evaluate risks, including security risks, to understand the implications of new technologies and their deployment.
  • Assist in creating and developing repeatable and profitable IP, incorporating security best practices.
  • Maintain documentation of build, release processes, and security controls.
  • Contribute to enhancing proactive working relationships within and between other Data#3 divisions, ensuring security is considered across all operations.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, including security certifications and training.
  • Apply security awareness across all workplace practices and comply with Data#3 Cyber Security Incident processes on a day-to-day basis.

  • Represent Data#3 professionally and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Perform duties safely without risk to your health and safety or that of others.
  • Be flexible to work in additional roles or capacities or take on varied duties as assigned.
  • May be required to perform duties off-site, including at customer, vendor, partner, and supplier sites, requiring a National Police Certificate.
  • May access internal and third-party computer systems containing highly sensitive information, necessitating a high level of honesty and integrity.



Requirements

Key Experience, Skills & Abilities

Experience:

  • Proven support experience in complex environments with a focus on Microsoft Cloud technologies Azure and Microsoft 365, including expertise in:
    • Azure DevOps - CI/CD
    • PaaS and SaaS
    • Python/SQL
    • Kubernetes/Containers
    • ARM Template/JSON scripting experience/BiCep
    • Strong PowerShell/automation experience
    • Performance tuning & monitoring

Skills:

  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Necessary skills and traits for consistent performance as a successful DevOps Engineer.
  • General IT product knowledge outside of Data#3's core product set.

Ability:

  • Contribute to the overall goals of the Managed Services team.
  • Develop testing scripts and automation.
  • Develop applications to assist in achieving high-quality standards for supported business applications.
  • Improve the quality of applications for customer business.
  • Develop and implement Assurance-related processes or procedures.
  • Oversee the provision of internal assurance services to customers.
  • Contribute to Data#3 customer relationships in terms of satisfaction, coverage, and coordination.

Key Qualifications, Certifications & Training


Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology (highly desirable but not mandatory).
  • The position is open for nationwide applicants. Candidates should be amenable to working remotely, candidates located in (NCR + Bubble) with the flexibility to report onsite in BGC or Makati office if needed only
  • Working hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM Manila Time.
  • Contract Based for 9 Months
  • This is a contracted position for 9 months. Further information will be provided during the initial screening.


Certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (Exam AZ-400) (highly desirable but not mandatory).
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Exam AZ-305) (highly desirable but not mandatory).
  • International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) (highly desirable but not mandatory).
