Job description

About Andesite:

Cybersecurity analysts are drowning in an increasingly data-dense security environment. Teams are overburdened. The industry faces a dire talent shortage that threatens the resilience of both government and commercial organizations.

Andesite is building the next generation cybersecurity analyst experience. Our mission is to supercharge the analysts protecting our country’s networks. When analysts work in our advanced AI security analytics platform, they can analyze decentralized data sets at scale and more quickly respond to threats. They become better and smarter, just by doing the things they’re already built to do.

We have deep experience with this problem. Our team is born out of the security community and comes from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences including the CIA, NSA, military, big tech, and start ups.

After raising a $15M seed round from top-tier investors General Catalyst and Red Cell Partners, we are rapidly scaling. As we remain hyper focused on our growth path and our accelerated move to market, we believe having the right teammates in Andesite Nation will be the reason we win.

The Role:

As the first Product Marketing Manager at Andesite, you will chart the course and execute a product marketing strategy that drives excitement for our platform across a range of stakeholders, from C-level buyers to front-line users.

You will work closely across product management, sales, and engineering to ensure that our product messaging is clear and compelling to align with our category-creating brand. If you are a multi-disciplined strategist and storyteller, who can take a concept from idea to execution, then we would be excited to meet you. The PMM will be a key player in shaping the future of our platform, product, and brand as we scale rapidly and create a defining category.

This role will report to the Director of Product Management.

Available Location: Remote (in United States)

What You’ll Do:

  • Product Marketing Strategy: Create compelling value propositions that speak directly to buyers and users, making our product stand out. Stay on top of industry trends and perform competitor analysis to keep our messaging sharp and relevant.
  • Content Creation: Use customer insights to craft authentic, impactful product positioning and messaging. Use your creative writing skills to develop engaging cross-channel content, such as product stories, blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and social media content that captivate and educate. Take full ownership of the product blog, filling it with fresh, high-value content that excites our audience.
  • Go-to-Market Support: Lead exciting product launches, working closely with product, sales, and marketing to create buzz and deliver impact. Create sales enablement materials that empower our sales team to sell with confidence and clarity.
  • Performance Measurement: Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, always refining and iterating to improve results. Be adaptable and responsive, adjusting strategies based on customer feedback and the fast pace of a startup.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, particularly in early-stage startups, with a strong preference for experience in AI or other highly technical product companies.
  • A proven creative writer, either professionally or as a hobby, with a portfolio showcasing your ability to tell compelling stories.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, engaging content.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience in content marketing to drive traffic and engagement

Bonus If You Have:

A background in cybersecurity or defense tech, or a demonstrated ability in adjacent industries and companies.

What We Can Offer:

  • Top of market salary, bonus, and equity package for an early stage startup
  • 100% employer-paid, comprehensive health insurance including medical, dental, and vision for you and your family
  • Unlimited PTO, with your manager’s approval
  • Flexible work environment where you manage your work day
  • A remote-first environment, with occasional travel for in-person collaboration with customers, your team, and teammates
  • 14 weeks of fully-paid parental leave

Andesite is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender perception or identity, national origin, age, marital status, protected veteran status, or disability status.

We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply, even if you don't feel like you're a perfect fit. If you're passionate about contributing to our mission, we'd love to hear from you!

Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
