***DICK’S Sporting Goods is currently hiring for multiple Product Analyst positions (both levels I and II) across multiple disciplines in corporate technology. Athlete Care

Like an Athlete, our technology teams focus on speed, flexibility, durability, and resilience so that we are always ready for the next ‘play’. In Omni Technology, we obsess over creating tools and services that allow our teammates to support our Athletes’ journey through Sport.  Our Customer Service team (Athlete Care) is tasked with turning a bad ‘play’ into a memorable moment. This role will be responsible for creating & managing an array of artifacts that intuitively describe our order management ecosystem, inclusive of the following:  Functional & non-functional requirements, end-to-end process flows, data mapping, acceptance testing, and issue triage & resolution. 

Loyalty

This team is focused on strategic delivery of our Scorecard Rewards Loyalty program and is central to enabling foundational analytic capabilities and data integrity practices.  This role will analyze the use of loyalty points and rewards, and work with key stakeholders to provide data that both grows our Athlete base while also seeks to move Athletes up in higher Loyalty tiers.  They will play a key role in points/rewards controllership and will work closely with our data science partners to analyze trends in CLV.

Store Inventory

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in enhancing inventory accuracy and operational efficiency through detailed data analysis, quality assurance testing, and JIRA backlog grooming. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure our inventory-related products meet and exceed expectations, contributing to the shared goal of optimizing inventory management and driving business success. Your analytical skills will help decipher complex data sets to inform decision-making and process improvements.

Clickstream

In this role, you will work closely with the Clickstream Product Manager and web product teams to partner on requirements and analysis of our Adobe Analytics data. The ideal candidate will have experience with Clickstream data (Adobe is preferred) and an understanding of implementation principles, including a basic understanding of Javascript (or similar programming language). They must be able to interpret requirements and design clickstream data solutions. In addition, real-world experience with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics is preferred but not required.

Athlete Data Platform & Athlete Experience

JOB PURPOSE

As a Product Analyst, you will work closely with product managers, product designers and software engineers to deliver products and services that align to strategic priorities as well as achieve product-market fit. You will be an active participant in the organization and deliver high-quality products through the following:

Analytical Services
As a Product Analyst, you will support strategic analytic services in partnership with technology and business teammates. You will work within a portfolio domain and function to develop an in-depth understanding of the business, processes, services and operations.

Data Steward
Where appropriate, you will act as a technical data steward for priority data domains where you will support efforts in documenting data definitions and key business metric calculations. This role is a critical enabler to ensuring the data moving through the system is governed and accurate. Technical Requirements
The Product Analyst role partners closely with product managers to understand the strategic vision and roadmap of a product. You will work with the product manager on your team to identify and document technical specifications for product development. You will work with software engineering, data engineering and architecture to determine how to develop the solution to meet the product and customer expectations. As part of the team, you are accountable to partner with software engineering and product management on the testing and acceptance of technical requirements before shipping to production.

Operations Support
You will implement maintenance and efficiency procedures, monitor product health and stability, gather system statistics and troubleshoot reported errors. Working back with the product team to ensure prioritization and resolution as quickly as possible.

The Product Analyst role works with a product team, supporting day-to-day operations as follows:

Effectively Communicate Data

  • Transforms meaningful data into digestible and actionable insights

  • Provides critical analysis without bias or expectations to inform product strategy

  • Uses data analysis to effectively communicate the “why”

  • Creates methodical and systemic guides for appropriate use and transformation of data

  • Uses graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data and support KPI measurement


Be a Steward of Data

  • Monitors and plans for appropriate compliance requirements

  • Acts as a data steward and implements data governance requirements

Execute & Deliver

  • Performs ad-hoc analytics to resolve and inform accurate requirements gathering

  • Documents data definitions and key business metric calculations

  • Documents technical requirements in user story format for data engineering, machine learning engineering and software engineering teams to execute against

  • Performs quality assurance testing on technical specifications to confirm feature acceptance

  • Mines and merges data to develop insights on key business and technology challenges

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates for this role should have:

  • Experience working with product management, product design and software engineering in a modern development environment

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle

  • Foundational understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies

  • Knowledge of business intelligence tooling and code base analytical tools

  • Advanced understanding of metrics and monitoring methodologies

  • Experience in building data requirements, data models and source to target mappings

  • Experience as a data steward and executing on data governance requirements

  • Comfortable working, combining and analyzing data from different source and maturity levels

  • Use of graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data and support KPI measurement

  • Ability to navigate and collaborate across technology and business partners

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong deductive reasoning skills

  • Curious attitude and desire to learn

Targeted Pay Range: $83,000.00 - $138,200.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
