Job description

Our story:

Every year millions of people are either filing their taxes in fear or giving up on their tax refund altogether. We're working on fixing that. Our intuitive app enables anyone, regardless of education or background, to file their taxes with newfound confidence.

Spread across Germany, Spain and the UK, the team at Taxfix Group with its brands Taxfix, Steuerbot and TaxScouts, is a compassionate group of solution-finders. We speak our minds openly, and with over 400 professionals, including tax experts, developers, and IT security experts, we're rich in ideas and voices. The group has facilitated more than 3.5 billion euros in tax refunds for its customers since its founding in 2016

Your challenge:

As the Principal in Corporate Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company. You will be utilizing your expertise in corporate finance to help make critical decisions and effectively lead corporate finance-related projects, such as M&A, investor relations, and funding activities. Your primary challenge is to contribute to providing strategic financial leadership and direction to our organization and contributing to its growth and path to profitability. Your contributions will be vital in optimizing our financial performance and achieving our strategic goals.

Your team:

Join a small, highly motivated team with a flat organizational structure, working directly with our CFO and other senior leaders within our company. We foster a collaborative and dynamic environment, where you will work closely with a dedicated team of financial and strategic professionals and other experts in the field. Together, you will form a cohesive team that will play a pivotal role in driving the company's financial success, valuing open communication, and sharing a collective commitment to achieving financial excellence.

Your responsibilities:

  • Managing capital raising, investor relations, and reporting activities.

  • Leading financial modeling and conducting data-based quantitative analyses.

  • Managing debt and equity capital markets and related projects.

  • Engaging in interdisciplinary work with other departments on strategic projects, gaining a profound understanding of Taxfix's mission and market.

  • Contributing to the evaluation and execution of cross-functional projects, providing you with substantial learning opportunities, and empowering you to take on significant responsibilities in a leading fintech Scale-up.

Your profile:

  • You have approximately 3 years of working experience at a global investment bank, private equity fund, or within the corporate finance team of a leading corporate or technology scale-up.

  • You hold a degree in business administration, economics, or a related field from a leading university, exhibiting a thorough understanding of corporate finance and strategy.

  • You are confident in your proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint, and you enjoy solving complex data problems in Excel, maintaining a keen eye for detail and rigor in execution.

  • You excel at finding prompt solutions while working independently and demonstrate a high level of motivation and a strong willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects, ensuring their completion.

  • You draw inspiration from our mission and highly innovative business model, thriving in handling multiple tasks concurrently.

  • You are fluent in both English and German.

Why Taxfix?

  • A chance to do meaningful, people-centric work with an international team of passionate professionals.

  • Holistic well-being with free mental health coaching sessions and yoga.

  • A monthly allowance to spend on an extensive range of services that you can use and roll over as flexibly as you like.

  • Employee stock options for all employees—because everyone deserves to benefit from the success they help to create.

  • 30 annual vacation days and flexible working hours.

  • A generous learning budget to support your personal and professional development and guidance from our internal L&D experts.

  • Work from abroad for up to six weeks every year. Just align with your team, and then enjoy your trip.

  • Plenty of opportunities to socialise as a team. In addition to internal meetups, our international team hosts regular get-togethers—virtually and in person when possible.

  • Free tax declaration filing, of course, through the Taxfix app—and internal support for all personal tax-related questions.

  • Have a four-legged friend in your life? We’re happy to have dogs join us in the office.
