The Director Data Strategy is responsible for advancing UMGCs analytics services and capabilities by implementing cutting edge practices. This position is a futurist in the field of analytics and will utilize a modern tool set to deliver analytical services including but not limited to deep dives, data science models, applications, reports, and presentations. This individual works closely with other data professionals to mentor and upskill.
Primary Duties:
Developing futuristic proof on concepts for apps built in Python to be used as common analytic toolset, while managing the Analytics GitHub.
Developing common libraries for the analytics team to use for the purposes of consistently pulling data and helping to reduce the time it takes to set up data pipelines.
Researching dynamics of business metrics for the purposes of uncovering opportunities to enhance or increase the efficacy of UMGC’s processes.
Meeting with UMGC’s leadership, frontline staff, and members of the Analytics team to gain a deep understanding of how work is done to apply to building futuristic analytical tools and services.
Create executive level presentations for the purpose of communicating complex ideas and findings.

Hiring Range:
$145,000.00 - $175,000.00
