Our NIGHTWING group is looking for an Account Executive, who will perform a key leadership role in identifying, aligning and driving key NIGHTWING growth areas. This position reports to the NIGHTWING Business Develop Executive and is a member of the NIGHTWING BD leadership team. This position is responsible for the business relationship with Government customers at multiple levels to build the new business pipeline, maintain customer satisfaction, and oversight of all pursuit activities.
This is a hybrid role, located in Dulles, VA
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Developing, implementing, communicating, and managing the overall account strategy that drives successful year-over-year competitive market growth aligned to Nightwing NIGHTWING’s financial goals
Developing and executing an Account Plan that defines the overall account strategy, customer contact planning, opportunity identification, and maintains the overall account plan as a living document
Being accountable for the full business development lifecycle for all opportunities within the account
Identifying opportunities that align with the NIGHTWING strategy within each Innovation Area
Identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities through existing programs and partnering with sub-business unit leaders
Maintaining a 5X qualified pipeline and responsible for the competitive bookings AOP within the account
Setting metrics that indicate likelihood of success
Identifying pursuits and engaging on capture and proposal activities, lead gate and bid reviews, and support development of capture/win strategies
Identifying and driving solutions to customer problems, strategic partnering candidates, related process improvements, and efficient management of resources
Building the Nightwing customer network throughout the government and military and coordinate interface opportunities between Nightwing leaders and senior level customers
Leading collaboration across NIGHTWING and Nightwing to fully leverage capability of business and support functions and allocate resources to ensure the availability of necessary people, technology, and capital
Measures of Success:
Competitive AOP performance/attainment (bookings, profit, sales)
Account plan
Pipeline size and quality (aligned with strategy)
Booking and Revenue
Harnessing the broader Nightwing team
Input to strategic plan, investment strategy, IRAD, M&A, partners
Nightwing position and reputation in customer space
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience
Demonstrate customer knowledge and appreciation to deliver innovation that furthers National Security Missions for the U.S Government.
Deep customer intimacy and mission knowledge
Ability to drive collaboration across multiple P&L's, functions and businesses within NIGHTWING, to drive collective performance across the entire NIGHTWING business
Proactive leader with a strong operational history of growing a high technology business while also managing multiple pursuits, capturing substantial market share, and yielding significant expansion
Well established customer networks with senior leaders throughout the military, government, and intelligence community.
Active TS/SCI w Poly Clearance on day 1 of employment
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Exceptional communication, writing and presentation skills
Demonstrated skills in planning and execution for both short-term requirements and long-term opportunities
Strong business acumen to proactively identify and resolve issues efficiently

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
