Generative AI Senior Product Engineer - Remote | WFH

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy well-structured core APIs and SDKs that enable access to Large Language Models (LLMs) and proprietary Foundation Models (FMs), including tasks related to training, fine-tuning, and orchestration.
• Design APIs with an emphasis on performance, scalability, user accessibility, and the automation of governance.
• Create application-specific interfaces that utilize LLMs and FMs to enhance user experiences for both clients and associates.
• Empower users to innovate and develop new capabilities in Generative AI.
• Implement tools and processes to monitor API access patterns, ensuring operational integrity and health.
• Collaborate with researchers to establish safety measures and guardrails within the API infrastructure.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java, with no less than 4 years of practical experience.
• Extensive experience in designing, constructing, and deploying machine learning application platforms.
• Familiarity with API design principles focused on performance and scalability.
• Understanding of API security, observability, and cloud access control protocols.
• Knowledge of the Model Development Lifecycle and MLOps is preferred.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design and implementation of machine learning application platforms.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in building, scaling, and optimizing training or inference systems for deep neural networks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with researchers and engineers to iterate quickly and enhance product experiences.

Compensation And Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range based on location:

• New York City (Hybrid On-Site): \(165,100 - \)188,500
• San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): \(174,900 - \)199,700
• Remote (Regardless of Location): \(140,000 - \)159,800 Candidates in different areas may receive varying pay ranges. The actual annual salary will be outlined in the candidate’s offer letter.
  
  

This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may consist of cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
