As a Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting governmental entities in their transition to renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and electric vehicles.

Role Overview

In this capacity, you will provide essential technical assistance, manage project operations, and contribute to business development. Your ability to cultivate relationships and represent our organization at conferences will be crucial to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer consultation and technical guidance to local governments on effective clean energy strategies.
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions, producing high-quality project materials including curricula, technical reports, and case studies.
  • Oversee administrative and technical project tasks, ensuring compliance and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Supervise Assistant Program Managers and interns, providing mentorship and support.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with local governments, stakeholders, and technical experts.
  • Manage communications for projects, including generating content for newsletters and blogs.
  • Assist in business and proposal development by supplying key technical components and budget analyses.

Required Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of clean energy policies and programs applicable to local governments.
  • Familiarity with federal grants and contracts administration and financial management.
  • Proven project management capabilities, including budgeting, compliance, and procurement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to navigate complex administrative challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, adept at simplifying technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with virtual collaboration tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Planning, Business, Energy/Environmental Policy, Economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience managing government-funded projects.
