Position Overview For The Application Analyst

  • Workflow Documentation and Analysis: Engage with clinical and business stakeholders to gather, create, and refine detailed workflow documentation, facilitating smooth implementation and upgrades that align with operational requirements and best practices.
  • Application Design and Configuration: Analyze new and existing system requirements, documenting design changes and enhancements while participating in the configuration of applications to meet both technical and operational specifications.
  • Comprehensive Testing and Validation: Develop thorough test scripts for system validation, ensuring all interfaces and application changes are rigorously tested and validated against departmental standards before being deployed into production.
  • Proactive System Maintenance and Support: Monitor system logs and error reports, collaborating with clients to identify and resolve complex issues while maintaining documentation of configurations and updates to ensure optimal application performance and compliance with standards.

Required Skills for the Application Analyst:

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in workflow engine utilization, Navigator and flowsheet builds, as well as LTR and LTT task template development, ensuring effective application configuration tailored to clinical needs.
  • Certifications: Validated Healthy Planet certification and EpicAmb certification required, showcasing a strong understanding of healthcare data management and interoperability standards.
  • Relevant Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in healthcare application implementation, troubleshooting, and support, with a focus on ensuring seamless integration within clinical workflows.
  • Educational Background: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience that reflects a solid foundation in technical and analytical skills relevant to healthcare systems.
