In this role you will be responsible for testing various software and hardware features of our core applications.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and executing user stories, test plans, debugging, and tracking quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts) while monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve system defects to meet quality standards.

A Day in the life:

  • Document business use cases, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Review and analyze system specifications and user stories to develop and document effective test strategies and test plans.

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

  • Collaborate with project team resources to review test plans, report defects, and ensure defects are addressed in a timely manner.

  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements based on test results.

  • Identify anomalies, investigate, and file clear and detailed bug reports; assist in correct escalation of bugs with peers and management as needed.

  • Document and communicate the results of your efforts.

  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce constructive reports.

  • Aid with user training and documentation activities.

  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and workshops to share ideas and findings as assigned.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

  • 0-2 years of related quality assurance, technical experience.

  • Knowledge of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning.

  • Knowledge of user story and use case writing and some test script development.

  • Capability to understand business context for testing.

  • Experience in a professional environment, supporting project teams.

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and experience with collaborative application development platforms like VSTS or JIRA.

The full salary range for this role is $66,000 - $95,500 USD Annually.
