FPGA Engineer
The Opportunity:
We need you, an electrical engineer, with an understanding of embedded system design, FPGA fabrics, and RF protocols to help us design and develop techniques for future Army Warfighters.
On our team, you will be part of a mission-oriented engineering group challenged to design and implement embedded architectures to address emerging cyber and electronic warfare threats. We’ll look to you to set the technical design and own the implementation of components as well as to integrate and directly provide fielding support. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge of embedded systems development and testing to directly impact the security of the Warfighter and our Nation.

You Have:
2+ years of experience in the electrical or computer engineering field, including development with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)
Experience with performing VHDL or Verilog development
Ability to identify and develop innovative solutions to challenging technical problems in the absence of specific requirements
Ability to work in small teams and remotely with minimal supervision
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with developing for software-defined radios (SDRs)
Experience with developing integrated solutions that leverage both the embedded processor and FPGA fabric of Xilinx SoC and RFSoC devices
Experience with digital RF sampling, modulations, error correction, or compression
Experience with C, C++, or Rust development
Experience with offensive cyber tool development
Experience with developing technical documentation and reports
Experience with writing and executing test plans and procedures
Knowledge of Linux distributions, including RedHat and Rocky Linux
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred; Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
