Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive System Engineer to join our IT team. This role involves administering Microsoft Intune, implementing Entra ID SSO for applications, managing our network, overseeing Windows patching using Qualys, and providing comprehensive help desk support. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT systems that support core organizational functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Microsoft Intune Administration:

  • Manage and oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of devices and applications using Microsoft Intune.
  • Ensure devices adhere to the security and operational policies and are compliant with organizational standards.
  • Monitor system performance, manage updates, and coordinate with security teams to safeguard all managed devices and applications.

  • Entra ID Management:

  • Implement and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions using Microsoft Entra ID for seamless access across various applications.
  • Collaborate with application teams to integrate SSO into both new and existing applications.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of the SSO service, including monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting.

  • Network Management:

  • Maintain and improve the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure high performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including but not limited to connectivity, security, and bandwidth problems.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to enhance the network infrastructure.

  • Windows Patching and Security:

  • Utilize Qualys for Windows patch management to ensure systems are updated with the latest security patches.
  • Monitor patch deployment processes, verify the success of patches, and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Collaborate with security teams to align patching processes with overall security policies.

  • Help Desk Support:

  • Provide expert-level support in resolving help desk tickets escalated from first-line support teams.
  • Analyze recurring issues for systematic resolution and propose improvements to reduce help desk ticket volume.
  • Mentor and support junior staff in handling technical queries and improving their troubleshooting capabilities.

  • Documentation and Compliance:

  • Develop, maintain, and update documentation for system configurations, processes, and service records.
  • Ensure all IT processes meet compliance standards and participate in auditing and remediation activities.

  • REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Understanding of privileged access management (PAM).
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.
  • Proficient in network management, with a deep understanding of network hardware, protocols, and security.
  • Proven track record in help desk support and IT service management, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, CompTIA Network+, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other industry-standard IT service management frameworks.
