Administrator, Compliance - FTC 6-9 months

What’s the role?

You will support the Risk Assurance Team in the execution of an effective programme of risk assurance, to include the performance of risk-based thematic monitoring and the creation, maintenance and execution of ongoing monitoring activities within Gen II in Jersey. With other members of the Risk Assurance Team, you will complete ongoing regular testing on key areas identified as presenting higher risk to Gen II and provide detailed reporting on the results of the testing performed for discussion and analysis.

What you’ll be doing

• Executing testing assigned within the defined risk-based monitoring programme in accordance with established timeframes to include, but not limited to, testing in compliance with Gen II Policies and Procedures, the Codes and AML/CFT/CPF Handbook and Laws and Regulations to which Gen II’s business is subject
• Completing testing sheets for each test carried out presenting the results in an organised and detailed way
• Evaluating testing carried out (e.g. as Satisfactory, Partially Satisfactory, Not Satisfactory) to enable accurate reporting of control deficiencies
• Maintaining accurate and up to date records of testing performed to include detailed results analysis
• Participating in the execution of risk-based thematic monitoring as required
• Analysing testing performed and making recommendation for any changes / enhancements which may be appropriate in accordance with the risk-based approach
• Where appropriate, making recommendations for the effective and timely resolutions of any deficiencies identified through the execution of the monitoring plan
• Assisting with the assessment and reporting on the effectiveness of monitoring and testing in Jersey for the Gen II Board Reports
• Assisting with the preparation of reporting to Boards, Committees and Senior Management

The ideal background for this role:

• Hold an ICA Certificate in AML awareness or other relevant qualification
• 3 years’ relevant finance industry experience
• 1 years’ experience within the compliance and risk environment
• Working knowledge of NavOne preferred
• Understanding and knowledge of local finance industry and regulatory requirements
• Understanding and knowledge of the AML legislation, Orders and the AML Handbook
• Knowledge of the Codes of Practice for Funds and Trust Company Business

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule

This role is based in our Jersey office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
