Job description

Who You Are: 

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect our organization's data, systems, and networks. You will play a key role in identifying and mitigating potential security threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining a robust security posture.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
  • Conduct security assessments, application security reviews, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address security risks.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to detect and respond to incidents.
  • Conduct forensic investigations and incident response activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into system architectures and software development lifecycle.
  • Provide security training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, threats, and industry trends.

  • What you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a security engineering or related role.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions.
  • Proficiency in network and system administration.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards such as SOC2 and ISO 27001.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with cloud environments, AWS preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are a plus.
