Description

JOB SUMMARY

The position will support the business by building comprehensive reports and dashboards to showcase pharmadata in innovative ways. In this role, there will be a focus on building external and internal reporting and driving strategy around how we illustrate patterns, ROI and key metrics to our clients and peer teams.  This role requires a keen sense of detail, a love for data and a desire to problem solve on a daily basis. Additionally, the role will be expected to take part in client facing meetings, build relationships with both internal and external business stakeholders and facilitate priorities between the business and data teams. A strong understanding of data, pharmaceutical industry and a commercial mindset allow the role to act as a key middleman, connecting the company’s data assets to real value.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain Looker/Tableau dashboards and scorecards focused on activity, trends and opportunities across the pharma channel
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners and product owners to proactively communicate, and clearly articulate, outcomes, insights, and recommendations.  Align with members of the leadership teams to understand business requirements, trends and expectations for analysis.
  • Develop innovative approaches to manipulate data sets in a way that enables pharma clients to see patterns and trends. Produce ad-hoc reports for various client requests.
  • Support, troubleshoot and resolve BI issues from end users.  Monitor daily and weekly inbound and outbound data feed exchanges to ensure on time delivery and complete and accurate data; and diagnose inbound/outbound file issues through a documented quality control process.
  • Prepare for and participate in client analytics meetings as the data/reporting expert – pre and post sales
  • Work collaboratively with the Data & Analytics team to ensure dashboards and reports are commercially relevant.  Develop and maintain statistical SOPs
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to build Visualizations and develop models in Looker and/or Tableau
  • Understands business requirements and how to use data to create stories related to those requirements
  • Brainstorms BI solutions to recommend appropriate analytics or KPIs
  • Ability to implement persistent derived tables and data security/permissions for users
  • Analyze data via SQL queries to assess structure, granularity, quality and fit for analytics
  • Drives projects and provides leadership to the data team
  • Understands pharma and/or payer industry at an in depth level in order to support reporting needs
  • Particpates in client facing meetings
  • Articulates data findings in a way that clear and concise to business teams

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum years of work experience:   8 years
  • Minimum level of education or education/experience:   Bachelors Degree 
  • Experience with API’s and system integration methodology
  • Experience working with Cloud databases
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • 2+ years experience with Looker, Tableau or equivalent BI tool
  • Experience working with healthcare professionals in a clinical setting
  • Experience in pharma industry, specifically with analytics
  • Strong experience in client facing role

The hiring range for this position is up to $130,940 per year. The actual base pay offered will consider candidate’s geographic location, job related knowledge, experience, and skill amongst other potential factors. There may be a bonus or commission, and/or a long-term incentive that will be provided as part of the compensation package, along with medical, financial and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
