The Role

The Salesforce Administrator will work with a team dedicated to ensuring each stakeholder group is able to capitalize on the full benefits and features offered through Salesforce. We are seeking someone with excellent technical and communication skills who can work directly with internal stakeholders, understand their needs, administer and enhance the system accordingly. This person will serve as the "go to" for users, promote adoption, keep current on new releases, provide training, integrate new tech stack components and more.

Role Specifics

  • Work Location: Remote, US
  • Travel: Minimal - Up to 10%. This is an estimate which may vary and could fluctuate up or down based on business need. 
  • Reporting Structure: Reports to VP Revenue Operations & Strategy


What You Will Own

Change Management and System Administration

  • Proactively gather feedback, identify necessary changes, and scope technical requirements from users
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce automation and functionality, including flows, process builders, triggers, page layouts, fields, data security, etc.
  • Configure and maintain CPQ functionality, including Advanced Approvals, Price Rules, Product Rules, and Bundles
  • Efficiently roll out new features through proper Change Set methodology
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, and other operational tasks
  • Work with team members and SMEs to serve as the Salesforce liaison to Integrate data as needed from other platforms (i.e. NetSuite, HubSpot, Gong, Groove) into Salesforce
  • Manage user licenses, permission sets, user roles, profiles, and hierarchies
  • Use Dataloader and other tools to import and manage data at scale  
  • Ensure data integrity and quality by proactively merging duplicate Leads, Contacts, and Accounts, performing mass uploads and updates of data as required.

 

Strategic Initiatives

  • Support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives by ensuring each is clearly and accurately reflected in Salesforce by creating requirements documentation and/or user stories.
  • Promote user adoption of Value Selling and account scoring methodologies through user-friendly system architecture.
  • Ensure system architecture supporting strategic initiatives is well-maintained, highly visible and proactively enhanced.

 

User Assistance, Training, Adoption and Satisfaction

  • Create and administer training to Salesforce users on a regular basis
  • Create training curriculum to be administered during new hire orientation
  • Communicate regularly with user base regarding new features, enhancements, and changes to the system
  • Initiate and attend planning/strategy meetings to assist with determining if/how Salesforce can be optimized
  • Assist sales management to create processes in Salesforce to help monitor activities, trends, sales, and leads
  • Be a subject matter expert on StarRez’s Salesforce and CPQ applications
  • Ensure layouts, views, and platform UX are as user-friendly as possible and makes identifying key information seamless
  • Document key company processes and workflows

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Salesforce and CPQ administration experience, inclusive of:
    • Experience implementing or making material improvements within CPQ
    • Experience with Salesforce flows, reporting tools, custom objects, validation rules, and approval chains.
  • Experience integrating external platforms into Salesforce.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification


Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification
  • Appreciation of well-crafted systems and data architecture; enjoyment in building Salesforce into an incredibly helpful tool
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity for and interest in the “why” of system architecture rather than simply the “what”
  • Data-driven mindset
  • Proficient in standard office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
