Job Description Summary

The Director, Database/Automation Production Support provides overall direction automation support services to Life, Annuity , Retirement and Employee Benefits business divisions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Champion organizational change and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and customer service excellence.
  • Manages dashboard of production issues and enhancements along with and process improvements related to database changes and automation.
  • Serves as escalation point for direct reports in terms of risk management, issue escalation/resolution, scope change and implementation planning.
  • Continually seek program process improvements.
  • Define and direct formal communication methods and establish open and consistent communication with all levels within the organization. Provide database program status and reporting.
  • Provide direction and ensure the team uses the intake tools.
  • Establish governance (prioritization of work), processes (required documentation and sign offs), and procedures for issues and enhancement work.
  • Direct and oversee activities holding teams accountable for meeting goals and objectives.
  • Direct problem resolution, decision making, communications and other associated activities during production issues and enhancements using a pro-active and constructive approach.
  • Work with the team to ensure correct tool selection (SQL/Microsoft access) for the new development work is sound
  • Mange a team across multiple remote locations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ten years of strategic planning experience, including five years directly in production support
  • Financial services background helpful
  • Leadership experience leading teams (remote leadership experience a plus)
  • Experience utilizing negotiation skills; coordinating and facilitating small and large group meetings
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization to guide in strategic planning fundamentals and plan execution.
  • Proficiency using MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Production Support/Enhancement work history

Compensation:

The salary for this position generally ranges between $120,000-$140,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility:

This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion.
