We are seeking an Associate Director, Digital Sustainability Embedded Resource (US/Corporate) to join our data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence team (the “Digital Sustainability team”) within the Legal department. In this role, you will be an embedded digital sustainability resource focused on supporting certain assigned United States and global business units. You will collaborate with business stakeholders across the organization to ensure that Digital Sustainability controls are being met. This role reports to the Senior Director, Digital Sustainability Embedded Resource Corporate Lead - United States.

Responsibilities
  • Act as an embedded Digital Sustainability resource for certain business units where you will advocate, provide guidance, and act as a resource for the adoption of Digital Sustainability program controls and raise Digital Sustainability issues to your supervisor as necessary.
  • Contribute to the ongoing Digital Sustainability initiatives and improvements development, implementation and maintenance of Digital Sustainability for the entirety of the organization.
  • Serve as Digital Sustainability subject matter expert and liaison with business teams and participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Digital Sustainability program for the company.
  • Advise business teams on risk issues related to Digital Sustainability and recommend actions in support of the integrated risk management and compliance programs.
  • Monitor Digital Sustainability trends internal and external to the organization and keep business teams informed about Digital Sustainability matters.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal and/or artificial intelligence, data governance, or privacy positions.
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role

  • Ability to build strong relationships across the organization with leaders, business units, technology teams, and global services.
  • Strong project management skills leading complex projects on a large scale, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
  • A passion for new technology.
  • Mastery of artificial intelligence, data governance, privacy laws, regulations, enforcement activity, guidance, industry best practices, and standards.
  • Certification in artificial intelligence or privacy, such as AIGP, CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with and understanding of US and global data protection laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; with a leadership presence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Additional Information:

Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $122,250-$179,300 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
