Job Description:

Position Summary:

Function as a part of the Market leadership team in providing financial and analytical support to help improve business performance and drive improved financial and clinical outcomes.  The ideal candidate will have a background in financial planning / forecasting and medical analytic support, and is comfortable in a very hands on environment, working directly with large data sets, and will collaborate effectively with operational and clinical leadership.

Essential Job Functions:

•    Function as a partner and key resource to the market leadership team providing oversight of all local financial operational functions

  • Interface directly with market leadership and agilon health enterprise team to support managed care finance initiatives and analysis, focused primarily on growth, revenue and expense performance, utilization outcomes
  • Partner with local and corporate analytic teams, to identify operational / medical cost savings opportunities.  Understand drivers / root causes of outliers and excessive variation and present findings that can be acted upon by market leadership
  • Participate in strategic planning activities in the region and lead market budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Support business development activities by performing financial due diligence associated with new growth opportunities
  • Develop financial forecasts for ancillary lines of business

Required Qualifications:

Minimum Experience

  • 7-10 years related work experience, preferably in a health care / managed care setting is preferred
  • Background in financial planning/forecasting and medical analytic support
  • Experience working directly with large data sets and ability to collaborate effectively with operational and clinical leadership

Education/Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required

Skills and Abilities:

Language Skills: Strong communication skills both written and verbal to work with multiple internal and external clients in a fast-paced environment Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.  Computer Skills: Ability to create and maintain documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Supervisory Responsibilities (if applicable):

Oversees any assigned staff. Responsibilities include: recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees; assigning workload; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; and coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

Pay Range:
$129,700.00 - $162,100.00

Salary range shown is a guideline. Individual compensation packages can vary based on factors unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, and qualifications.
