Job description

Overview:

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking an experienced User Experience (UX) Design Analyst to support the Bureau of Reclamation in the development of a web-based publication platform for scientific and engineering data and information. The UX Design Analyst will work with the product owner, product manager, project team, and users to implement an ongoing UX improvement cycle including analyzing opportunities to improve UX, creating UX requirements and designs, and ensuring that UX improvements are implemented effectively.

 

This position is 100% remote. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyze the existing user experience and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Create high-level requirements, UX designs and rapid prototypes to support evaluation and selection of project development approach.
  • Convert proposed enhancements into detailed UX requirements (e.g., written user workflows, technical requirements, and design specifications) and designs (e.g., wireframes and prototypes) to be used by the development team.
  • Provide guidance on UX best practices to the product manager, project team members, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of developments and trends in website design/UX, ensuring developed solutions are current.
  • Analyze and utilize web metrics (e.g., Google Analytics) to drive UX decisions.
  • Design and conduct various types of formal and informal usability testing and requirements gathering (surveys, user interviews, focus groups, A/B testing etc.).
  • Collect, organize, and analyze user feedback and incorporate into site design.
  • Prepare user testing scripts and perform pre- and post-release testing during each development phase to ensure user changes have been implemented successfully according to requirements.
  • Reviews websites and applications for compliance with government regulations (e.g., 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 255 of the Communications Act).
Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in UX Design, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5 years of related professional experience preferred.
  • Experience in user experience analysis, user-centered design, information architecture and user interface design concepts.
  • Experience in quality assurance (QA) testing.
  • Experience in requirements solicitation/gathering.
  • Experience with user interface graphical design using Photoshop, Illustrator or similar.
  • Ability to use wireframe software, such as Adobe XD, Balsamiq, or other most used wireframe software.
