Job description

A boutique law firm specializing in plaintiff-side employment litigation seeks a dedicated and motivated Associate Attorney to join its remote plaintiff-side employment litigation team. The firm is committed to advocating for employee rights and fighting for justice in cases involving workplace discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage disputes. The ideal candidate must be California-barred and reside in the state (preferably in LA, San Diego, Irvine, Sacramento, or San Francisco). 

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, client-focused environment where legal skills can make a meaningful impact. 

What You'll Do:
  • Manage a full caseload of employment law matters with minimal supervision, including cases involving wage and hour disputes, harassment, wrongful termination, and discrimination. 
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Represent clients at depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary. 
  • Produce high-quality work that meets KPIs and contributes to the firm's success. 
  • Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and deliver exceptional results for clients.

  • What You Need:
  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience with a strong focus on employment law in California. 
  • Active California Bar license in good standing. 
  • Strong litigation skills, including experience managing cases from intake through trial. 
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw. 
  • Excellent legal writing and drafting skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high standards in work product. 
  • Expertise in California employment law and civil procedure. 
  • Strong foundation in legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy. 
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining consistent communication with the team. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
