With our LED solutions, light can be tuned exactly to the crop and its environment to improve growth results, which is the fundament for our ‘light recipe approach’. The most advanced light recipes are enabled by our GrowWise Control System so growers get more flexible control over crop quality, productivity and operational efficiency.
As Sales Application Specialist you are part of a global, innovative and multidisciplinary team building together a fast-growing business. You will work closely with Application and System Engineers in the NAM team and global AE team, as well as with your colleagues in sales, marketing and plant specialism.
You will become an expert in the GrowWise Control System and you will have technical knowledge of the Signify Horticulture LED portfolio with some understanding of the horticulture application
What you’ll do
Build up horticulture lighting technical expertise in LED Horticulture worldwide to sales in the fast-growing market. Provide customers (internal and external) with high quality design in support throughout the sales process. Your key tasks consist of:
Design GrowWise Control Systems based on customer/project requirements.
Validate the systems to ensure they meet design specifications.
Support installing partners during the design, testing, and release of a solution for a specific deal.
Commission the system remotely or on-site and provide technical support to customers throughout the sales process.
Contribute to technical product documentation, provide customer training, assist in developing technical tools, and provide input for building block improvement to R&D.
Your Qualifications
Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
Must have at least 3+ years of relevant technical working experience in lighting.
Experienced in lighting control systems and software: Basic knowledge on optics, mechanics, and electrical is required.
Basic knowledge of LED technology is strongly preferred.
Ability to design optimal solutions based on product portfolio and creating light designs is preferred.
Must be customer-focused, a reliable team player with excellent communication skills in English, and capable of solving complex technical issues within deadlines.
Must have a valid driver's license and willing to travel within Canada and US.
Proficiency in computer skills, including spreadsheets, functional databases, and enterprise-wide software applications: Experience with DIALux or AGI 32 is required
