KITS and our government customer.

Koniag Government Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Content Editor to support the US Department of State, through dynamic and fast-paced development and management of the Global Public Affairs web assets.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
This position will have the following duties:
- Take text and graphics content developed by the communications team, and post onto .gov website
- Working with communications team on review and editing of content to ensure suitability for posting online
- Working with IT team on layout and format of .gov website
- Converting documents to meet 508 compliances for accessibly
- Assist IT Team in maintenance and updating of .gov website
- Work with government POCs to load content in the most efficient way and train them
- Provide user feedback to support stronger design.
- Help to ensure quality of the site content resolving broken links and provide content quality reviews
Required Skills/Experience:
- Working with WordPress websites
- Using the Gutenberg Editor
- Experience in preparing documents to meet 508 Compliance
- Experience with UI/UX tools and design
- Collaborating with a cross functional team of developers and communication professionals
- Desired Skills/Experience:
- Scripting exp with HTML & CSS
- Google analytics experience
- UI/UX experience to include using graphic tools
- Social Media Experience
- Agile experience
- User Training experience
- Testing experience
Experience level:
- 3 years Content Editing
- 2 years WordPress
- 2 years 508 experience

Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
