Pacific Companies is currently seeking a Senior Business Development Consultant for the Business Development department. The Senior Business Development is responsible for driving high-level client acquisition and maintaining key relationships within the healthcare staffing industry. This role requires an experienced sales professional who will lead business development efforts, identify new opportunities, and strategically present recruitment solutions to healthcare organizations. The Senior Consultant will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure the seamless execution of client projects while representing the company at client meetings, industry events, and conferences.

This role demands a consultative sales approach, a deep understanding of the healthcare staffing landscape, and the ability to manage complex client needs. Success in this position involves achieving revenue targets, expanding market presence, and contributing to the overall business growth strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify prospective clients through strategic outbound calling and emailing within the assigned territory. Research and target healthcare organizations, decision-makers, and key stakeholders to generate new business opportunities.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person meetings with healthcare professionals and decision-makers to present Pacific Companies' locum tenens and permanent recruitment services, demonstrating how these solutions can effectively address their workforce challenges.
  • Tailor recruitment solutions to meet specific client needs by understanding their staffing challenges and offering customized solutions that align with their organizational goals.
  • Execute a consultative sales process, identifying client needs, addressing objections, and negotiating contract terms to close deals and secure long-term partnerships. Provide insights and guidance throughout the sales cycle to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with high-value clients, ensuring continued business growth and high client satisfaction through consistent communication, relationship management, and a commitment to client success.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, consistently promoting Pacific Companies' value proposition and healthcare staffing expertise. Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand market presence and influence.
  • Travel as required within the assigned territory to meet clients in person, attend industry conferences, and build relationships with key decision-makers. Utilize these opportunities to strengthen client relationships and grow the business.

Work Environment 

  • The role is fully remote, allowing flexibility in work location. The Senior Business Development Consultant is expected to maintain a professional home office setup with reliable high-speed internet to ensure seamless communication and management of daily tasks.
  • Virtual communication is key, utilizing platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Bullhorn CRM to engage with clients, prospects, and internal teams. Strong digital communication skills are essential for maintaining relationships and achieving business development goals in a remote setting.
  • The position requires self-discipline and time-management skills, as the Senior Consultant will manage multiple projects, client relationships, and sales activities independently, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
  • Moderate to heavy travel is required for client meetings, industry events, and conferences to strengthen relationships and expand business opportunities. Travel will vary based on client needs and business priorities.

  • Permanent physician placement recruiting experience, showcasing a strong understanding of the healthcare staffing landscape and the unique needs of healthcare organizations.
  • Proven success in generating new business, closing sales, and building long-term client relationships in a consultative sales environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with healthcare professionals and decision-makers in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address client needs, overcome objections, and negotiate contract terms effectively.
  • Ability to analyze client needs and tailor recruitment solutions to meet specific staffing challenges.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (such as Bullhorn) to track business development activities, client interactions, and manage sales pipelines effectively.
  • Competence with virtual communication tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom for conducting remote client meetings and presentations.
  • A goal-driven and results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets while working independently or as part of a team.
