Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Litigation Claims Manager to join our innovative insurtech company, renowned for its cutting-edge AI and automation solutions that revolutionize the claims management landscape. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee complex and high-stakes claims, particularly within Commercial Transportation, ensuring adherence to regulatory and contractual SLAs.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed key performance indicators while effectively navigating challenges.
  • Develop and implement best practices for efficient claims handling, aligning team performance with client expectations.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment conducive to professional growth and development.
  • Ensure the accuracy and adequacy of claim reserving processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on escalated claims, assisting in the resolution of complex issues.
  • Design and execute strategies aimed at preventing fraudulent claims.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with policyholders, agents, brokers, and legal representatives.
  • Provide guidance on claim strategies and interpret inquiries as necessary.
  • Support trial preparations and participate in legal proceedings as required.
  • Manage external legal counsel and other vendors effectively.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive claims reports and analyses, advising clients on trends and loss prevention.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in handling commercial transportation claims, including litigation.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in leveraging technology for operational improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team leadership and motivation.
  • Proficient in legal research and contract interpretation, with a keen understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or a related field; a Juris Doctor (JD) degree is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of claims adjusting experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership capacity managing a team focused on litigated claims; legal experience is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in claims law and best practices in litigation claims handling.
  • Experience in managing remote teams is preferred.
