Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality interpretation services for our educational partners in a virtual environment.
• Facilitate clear communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, educators, and staff.
• Collaborate with educators and support personnel to effectively address the communication needs of students.
• Adapt interpretation techniques to suit various educational contexts and individual student requirements.
• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all professional interactions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in American Sign Language.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Georgia Sign Language Interpreter License or the ability to obtain licensure within two weeks of employment.
• A minimum Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5.
• Previous experience in virtual interpreting is preferred.
