Senior Java/AWS Developer (with IAM exp)

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Java/AWS Developer (with IAM exp) for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD.

This position is 100% Remote.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
• Strong CS fundamentals with problem solving, analysis, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Experience with Identity and Access Management
• Hands-on experience in system design, building distributed high-performance high-availability systems, testing, and operational stability
• Proficient in coding with Java, Spring & Spring Boot, SQL, scripting, and Junit for building enterprise-level applications.
• Experience with REST Api development, web services
• Hands-on experience with AWS specifically ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, and storage services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, responsive and proactive.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated and self-starter
• Appreciation for non-functional requirements: performance, scalability, testability and quality
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ForgeRock/Ping or any other identity products
• Experience with Splunk
• Hands-on experience with frontend development
• Knowledge of Continuous Deployment/Integration practices including automated unit/integration/regression tests with tools such as Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle.
• AWS professional certification is preferred
• Be able to work in a fast-paced, agile development/project environment
