Sous la responsabilité du Directeur de la tarification, nos professionnels de la tarification répondent aux besoins de tarification externalisée de nos clients en matière d'analyse et d'évaluation des risques de mortalité et de morbidité. Le tarificateur est chargé d'examiner les facteurs de risque médicaux, financiers et non médicaux des propositions d'assurance vie, d'assurance invalidité et d'assurance contre les maladies graves. Le tarificateur est chargé de prendre des décisions de qualité conformément aux principes et aux lignes directrices de la tarification, et de mener à bien les tâches qui lui sont confiées dans le respect des délais de service et des autres échéances fixées.

Responsabilités

  • Analyse du risque de mortalité/morbidité - déterminer les exigences de tarification appropriées et classer les dossiers dans la catégorie de risque appropriée en analysant et en interprétant les données de tarification pour l'évaluation du risque de mortalité et de morbidité.
  • Fournir une expertise technique et un soutien aux entreprises clientes.
  • Démontre une capacité à travailler de manière productive dans un environnement sous pression et à gérer de manière efficace et proactive les situations difficiles.
  • Agir de manière indépendante dans ses limites d’autorité de signature.
  • Soutenir activement la direction du département en apportant sa contribution, en aidant à la formation, en menant des discussions d'équipe, en participant à des projets et en contribuant de manière positive à la résolution de problèmes techniques ou de problèmes liés aux clients.
  • Contribuer à un environnement de travail positif grâce au travail d'équipe et à l'esprit d'innovation.
  • Participer aux événements de la RGA et aux activités de l'industrie et entretenir des relations avec les principaux clients.

Exigences

  • Diplôme d’études collégiales ou universitaires, ou expérience de travail équivalente
  • Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en tarification incluant experience avec les risques médicaux et financiers non standards
  • Attitude orientée vers le service avec de fortes compétences interpersonnelles pour travailler en collaboration avec nos partenaires internes et externes
  • Solides compétences en communication, écrite et verbale
  • Bilinguisme français/anglais (l’oral comme à l’écrit) est requis compte tenu de la nécessité de communiquer oralement et par écrit avec une clientèle majoritairement anglophone basée à l'extérieur du Québec.
  • Plusieurs branches d’activité (Vie, Invalidité, MG) un atout

Reporting to the Director of Underwriting, our underwriting professionals support our clients' outsourced underwriting needs in the analysis and evaluation of mortality and morbidity risks. The underwriter is responsible for examining the medical, financial and non-medical risk factors of life, disability and critical illness insurance applications. The Underwriter is responsible for making quality decisions in accordance with underwriting principles and guidelines, and for completing assigned tasks within service time expectations and other established deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Mortality/Morbidity Risk Analysis - determine appropriate underwriting requirements and assign cases to the appropriate risk category by analyzing and interpreting underwriting evidence for mortality and morbidity risk assessment
  • Provides technical expertise and support to client companies
  • Demonstrates an ability to work productively in high pressure environment and effectively and proactively manage challenging situations.
  • Act independently within specified authority.
  • Actively supports the departmental management by providing input, assisting in training, leading team discussions, participating in projects, and being a positive contributor to the resolution of technical or client issues
  • Contribute to a positive working environment with teamwork and a spirit of innovation
  • Participates in RGA events and industry activities and fosters relationships with key clients

Qualifications

  • College diploma / University degree or equivalent working experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of underwriting experience including experience with substandard business, medical and financial underwriting
  • Service-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with our internal and external partners
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Bilingual French/English (oral and written) is required given the need to communicate orally and in writing with a predominantly English-speaking clientele based outside of Quebec.
  • Multiple lines of business (Life, DI, CI) an asset

Compensation Range

$64,185.00 - $80,230.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
