Senior Business Analyst - Trading / Financial Focus

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our trading solutions team.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of Trading Markets financial and accounting activities and related processes related to Central Counterparties (CCP) and be familiar with Risk Management frameworks and Financial Markets Clearing activities. This role involves designing business processes, collecting and analyzing business requirements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Strong communication and a customer-oriented approach are essential for success in this position.

Main tasks of the role include (but are not limited to):

Requirements Gathering and Analysis

• Communicate with stakeholders in non-technical terms to learn business workflows and needs
• Translate business requirements into concise functional requirements that are actionable by the development team
• Conduct discovery and feedback sessions to accelerate and enhance the quality of requirements
• Reconcile conflicting requirements among disparate stakeholders
• Work with stakeholders and project management to define product roadmaps
• Recognize and communicate the impact new systems and features have on existing systems

Documentation and Communication

• Prepare clear and concise business requirement documents, use cases and functional specifications
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members to ensure a common understanding of requirements
• Collaborate with the Technical Analyst and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather information and provide updates

Data Analysis

• Perform data analysis to support business decision-making and provide insights
• Ensure data integrity and quality, identifying patterns and trends that inform strategic decisions

Technology Evaluation and Recommendation

• Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate technology solutions and make recommendations based on business needs
• Assess the impact of proposed solutions on existing systems and processes

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Work closely with testing teams to help them develop test plans and test cases
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements

Qualifications & Competencies

• Knowledge of financial and accounting processes of a Central Counterparty Clearing House (CCP)
• Familiar with a Central Counterparty Clearing House (CCP) Schedule and Interests management
• Understanding of Central Counterparty Clearing House (CCP) relations with other entities such as Markets, Central Securities Depositories (CSD) and Central Bank
• Experienced in designing solutions to implement billing solutions
• Knowledge of regulation to ensure that financial and accounting processes are compliant with regulatory requirements
• Strong Communication and Customer Oriented approach
• Strong communication skills with business areas and all stakeholders
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• Proven experience as a business analyst in markets trading / accounting solutions

Nice to have

• Proficiency with SQL language and database management
• Relevant certifications in business analysis or financial management
• Familiarity of other similar systems
