Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with BAs and PMs to design and deliver efficient, scalable software solutions that address complex business challenges.
• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from designing and coding to testing and deploying applications using technologies such as Java, C#, SQL, and JavaScript.
• Create and maintain cloud-native services on platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure.
• Utilize Kafka to implement event-driven architectures that enhance system responsiveness and flexibility.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and automation tests to uphold high standards of quality and reliability in the software.
• Contribute actively to agile development workflows, participating in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
• Perform thorough code reviews, offering constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, particularly in high-stakes, mission-critical environments.
• Ensure that applications are built for scalability, observability, and operational resilience, contributing to their long-term success and maintainability.
• Enhance testing methodologies and contribute to the evolution of testing frameworks to improve software reliability and efficiency.
  
  

Requirements

• Min 4+ years of experience in cloud-native backend development, using Java and Spring.
• Min. 4+ years of experience in event-driven architecture development, with a strong focus on Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in SQL Server.
• Experience with Angular or React for front-end development.
• Familiarity with Snowflake for data warehousing solutions.
• Understanding of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Experience in developing high-performance, multi-tiered database applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases (RDBMS).
• Ability to solve complex business and technical problems and develop efficient software solutions.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in a scrum team.
  
  

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in financial services, especially with solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management.
• Knowledge of compiler or interpreter technologies, embedded systems, or operating systems.
• Familiarity with Wealth Management, Fixed Income trading, or Post-Trade processing.
