Position Overview
The Global Sales Manager-International (non-U.S.) Channel is responsible for sales efforts for education products within assigned international (non-U.S.) territories. This individual contributor role works to improve the institution’s market position and achieve financial growth through the development of new business and the retention of customer accounts after close. The Global Sales Manager - international channel will assist with identifying business opportunities, managing key client and channel partner relationships and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. This role will carry an individual sales quota.

What You'll Do
  • Partners with Sales leadership to develop annual operating business plans, customer and prospective customer target account plans, and new business development goals on a non-U.S. international basis.
  • Develops strategies and tactics to grow market share and increase revenues while ensuring a superior customer experience.
  • Works to achieve sales quotas, segment goals, monitors quota and goal achievement.
  • Develops and manages international channel partner relationships, in assigned territories, for maximum sales effectiveness.
  • Develops B2B sales pipeline and closes new customer relationships.
  • Carries international segment sales quota for assigned territories and closes new business as a sales hunter.
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to develop and implement account plans for all customers and prospective customers above a specified size in assigned non-U.S. markets.
  • Develop and lead large sales opportunities through the entire sales cycle and work with prospective clients and internal stakeholders to close deals.
  • Write compelling responses to requests for proposal sales opportunities.
  • Collaborates with other functional segment sales teams to align goals and maximize effectiveness of objectives.
  • Participates in ideation process for new products and solicits customer feedback.
  • Works closely with all sales teams in development of strategies to increase sales efforts.
  • Regular travel to prospective accounts and customers is expected as well as and to the U.S. for sales team meetings.
  • Recommend creative solutions addressing the unique needs of each customer in order to increase revenue.
  • Responsible for negotiating contracts with customers in assigned territories. · Develop sales pipelines, assess pipeline progress for best opportunities to assist with closing, and assists with forecasting international (non-U.S.) segment sales each month. Completes other duties as assigned.

  • What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree required with master’s degree a plus.
  • Professional accounting credentials (e.g. CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • At least 6 years international experience in quota-based sales and new customer account business development, preferably in professional training industry.
  • Proven record of sales success achieving sales quotas.
  • A demonstrated record of success in developing and implementing sales plans resulting in significant top and bottom-line results.
  • Skilled relationship builder and negotiator combined with excellent oral and written communication.
  • Proven interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to sell to international markets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% in support of sales team and its customers.
  • Self-starting, self-motivating, highly organized individual with a strong work ethic and team first mentality.
  • Fluency in English, Spanish and/or other languages preferred.
  • Microsoft Office and CRM skills required.
