Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Bid Manager to join our market leading DC Proposition. 

This key role involves managing proposals for new and existing clients, ensuring submissions are compelling, accurate, and timely. This person will handle follow-up questions, support pitches and site visits, and manage other new business processes.

Along with the core accountabilities, Bid Managers are expected to contribute to projects for the continuous improvement of the Client Acquisition Support team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the full process of creating and executing proposals for both new and existing clients, handle follow-up questions, and complete EBC/publication surveys
  • Reviewing team members' work to ensure key messages effectively highlight the value of the proposition
  • Collaborating with the Content Manager to keep the central repository and standard proposal documents current. This involves conducting post-RFP reviews and updating the repository with new or revised content
  • Assisting pitch teams in preparing for client presentations and site visits
  • Handling and implementing client pricing requests, including follow-up with non-strategic accounts 
  • Fostering connections within the company and externally with a broad network of both investment and non-investment experts
  • Consistently enhancing your current understanding of the products and and staying informed about advancements in industry and technology and assess their potential effects on the business
  • Ensuring all communications are clear, compliant with the principles of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’, not misleading and fully compliant with any other relevant industry/government rules, guidance and regulations

  • High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create compelling communications
  • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships across the business and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team in a deadline driven, dynamic environment
  • Ability to critique and give constructive feedback on the work of colleagues
  • A working knowledge of industry trends and market competitors
