The Role

Join Addepar's Legal team as Senior Legal Counsel and play a crucial role in the growth and expansion of our business. This is an outstanding opportunity to craft the future of our global operations, support experienced HR and sales professionals, and navigate regulatory developments. As a small legal team relative to the vast opportunities in front of Addepar, we rely on close collaboration and the ability of each team member to cover multiple areas of the law and the business.

What You’ll Do
  • Negotiate client contracts and other commercial agreements supporting millions of dollars/pounds of total revenue, including related Data Processing Agreements.
  • Run a global employment law practice in coordination with HR professionals and outside counsel.
  • Set up and support the growth of new non-US offices, with primary focus on EMEA and LATAM .
  • Develop expertise and build repeatable processes tailored to delivering in the areas of greatest need for our global business
  • Stay informed on regulatory developments and advise business leaders accordingly, including with respect to data privacy regulations.
  • Provide support for inquiries related to data privacy, including GDPR.
  • Scope international privacy compliance requirements to support jurisdictional expansion.
Who You Are
  • Qualified to practice as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales, with significant post qualification experience, preferably in the context of a global technology business.
  • Outstanding negotiation and contract management abilities.
  • Strong understanding of employment and privacy law and regulatory requirements, including GDPR.
  • Tackle challenges practically, with the ability to succinctly identify critical areas of concern and construct legally-compliant, commercially-viable solutions
  • Ambitious and collaborative, with a dedication to delivering world-class legal solutions.
