Job Title: Lead MEP BIM Coordinator
Location: Birmingham

Due to continued growth, my client is recruiting for a Lead MEP BIM Coordinator to join the team at their office in Birmingham.
This role will see you working on exciting developments in the UK with projects thriving on teamwork and collaboration, making your excellent communication abilities and enthusiasm for achieving success with others invaluable in this role. Projects will be varied and will include commercial, education, residential and healthcare.
The Role
As the successful BIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement BIM processes and workflows for MEP engineering projects.
- Coordinate BIM projects across all disciplines to ensure timely completion within budget.
- Manage and maintain BIM models, including developing and upholding model standards, templates, and libraries.
- Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure on-time delivery of BIM deliverables.
- Ensure model accuracy, consistency, and completeness, while maintaining compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM-related tools and workflows.
- Set up drawings and prepare them for project team use.
- Review project files to ensure compliance with established standards and protocols.
- Implement best practice procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist engineers in drawing production, including accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Coordinate drawing production to meet project requirements and align with other disciplines.
- Support technical delivery of BIM/CAD projects by coordinating BIM and CAD workflows.
- Generate clash detection reports and resolve identified issues in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Create BIM families and contribute to the development of standard details and procedures.
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
