Job description

Essential Job Functions

  • Evaluate and negotiate settlement of automobile first and third-party physical damage claims within established settlement authority limits and negotiate any excessive storage charges.
  • Explains procedures and answers inquiries for adjusting auto total loss claims.
  • Analyzes information obtained to establish compliance with regulatory requirements and settlement value.
  • Properly manage the Total Loss settlement process and rental expenses by working closely with appraisers, rental facilities, body shops, and salvage vendors. Includes managing deductibles and policy limits.
  • Coordinates internal functions, including appraisal operations, SIU, subrogation, and salvage.
  • Meet all quality standards and expectations per company best practices and comply with state-specific regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma; additional education up to bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an auto insurance Claims Adjuster 
  • Required to have or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills; flexible and versatile 
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Able to lift 0-10 pounds occasionally without assistance
