Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for an ETL Developer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with SQL Server ETL/app developers to provide technical guidance and help resolve blockers. 
  • This will include acting as a go-between with DBAs and other teams, setting up meetings with the two parties when necessary, and documenting decisions in JIRA. 
  • Candidate will act as a mentor, suggesting best practices for setting up/altering a DevOps process while migrating servers from one domain to another.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required (ideally in Computer Science, though flexible) 
  • Strong ability to work with various levels of stakeholders (clinical and technology, operational and executive etc).
  • Need to clearly communicate issues between our ETL developers and DBA team when problems come up
  • Strong understanding of permissions/service accounts
  • Strong understanding of MS Active Directory Groups
  • Strong understanding of DevOps process, including GitHub Actions, Octopus, etc.
  • 3-5 years of SQL Server Database back-end developer or DBA experience
  • 3-5 years of intermediate to advanced SQL:  T-SQL is a must, Teradata SQL is a plus
  • 1-3 years of experience with automated jobs (Active Batch, SQL Server Agent, ESP, etc.).
  • Previous hands-on roles in large system conversions or mergers, where it was necessary to analyze all existing processes and ensure no gaps is a plus
