Position Information

 

 

Position Overview

Do you have the passion and experience in selling solutions to the Nursing High Education market? Do you have the hustle and entrepreneurial spirit to create and build your own territory and deliver results?  Do you get excited to deliver solutions to support the transition of Nursing school students to professionals? Then this role at HealthStream could be right for you!

 

The Account Executive, Digital Sales, Nursing Health Education will be responsible for successfully selling HealthStream’s Workforce Development solutions into the Higher Education school market, specifically focused on nursing. This role’s key objective is to spearhead HealthStream's expansion of these solutions into the nursing school channel, solidifying HealthStream’s position as a trailblazer in the field.  This individual will have ultimate responsibility for growing new B2B opportunities through direct outreach for institutional purchases with universities and colleges within an assigned territory. The ability to bring your own existing buyer relationships into the HealthStream network is a big plus!  

 

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.

  • Responsible for all elements of the sales process including, prospecting, qualifying, positioning, demonstrating, presenting, objection handling, and contracting negotiations through sale closure.

  • Research potential sales opportunities within assigned region to target key contacts

  • Source new sales opportunities through cold calling institutional prospects

  • Prospect and build a sales pipeline via multiple mediums (email, phone, trade show leads, and inbound website leads)

  • Prioritize meetings with decision makers and conduct both remote and on-site presentations and sales demos

  • Meet monthly and quarterly goals set based on goals set for new sales revenue

  • Undertake Personal and Professional Development Opportunities: Including developing and maintaining outstanding product knowledge, building deep expertise in healthcare trends, and continuing to enhance skills and abilities such as communication, presentation, negotiations, and teamwork.

  • Includes representing team in meetings or discussions with others at HealthStream, including Sales Leadership, Marketing, Product Management, Services, or others

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; BSN preferred.

  • Must have at least five years outside sales experience in higher education coupled with consistent sales performance in highly competitive environments.

  • Experience with selling digital content into nursing schools.

 

Qualifications

  • Hunter with High emotional intelligence

  • High sales drive with a “right fit” sales mentality

  • Possess a genuine interest in health science education and the integration of technology into the educational arena.

  • Sales pipeline must be managed with detail with trustworthy forecasting

  • Solid computer skills – Office Suite

  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as SalesForce

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% including overnight travel

  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial culture, contributing to one of HealthStream’s values of continuously improving.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast paced, results oriented environment while providing leadership with market feedback regarding product suite, pricing, positioning, wins and losses (why).

  • Must have the ability to quickly develop relationships with faculty and Deans to showcase HealthStream’s innovation in the school market to help better prepare nurses to enter the workforce.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism representing the HealthStream gold standard brand.

  • Ideal candidate will have existing relationships to call on in the higher education space.

  • Leadership qualities to serve as a team player, but willing to take responsibility and accountability. Shares success with team members
