Patient Accounts Administrator - Health Fund Inpatient Billing

Permanent Full time position

Cabrini Corporate Office, Hawthorn East & Work From Home 2 days per week (once training completed)

Salary range $65,000-$70,800 + 12.5% super

How you will make an impact
The Patient Accounts team forms a valuable part of Cabrini's Finance department and provides quality accounting support to the business. As a key member of the team, the Patient Accounts Administrator is responsible for billing and debtor follow up from Health Funds, DVA and third parties for services provided at Cabrini.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Raising claims/accounts (Billing) in accordance with the relevant contracts

  • Ensure legislation requirements are met and all relevant documentation is completed

  • Following up unprocessed claims, resubmissions and attending to audit cases

  • Ensuring clear lines of communication between the Patient Accounts Department and other Cabrini departments

  • Ensuring a high standard of care is provided to all stakeholders

About you

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys a working as part of team, building upon your skills and enhancing processes.

You will need to have the following:

  • Previous experience in a private healthcare, medical environment, or health insurance industry

  • Previous experience and confidence in billing inpatient claims

  • Have experience in using WebPas and Eclipse, other health fund and third-party portals

  • High Attention to detail

  • A high level of effectiveness in a team-based environment and an ability to work autonomously

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • A professional attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
